Village Trustee or Village President — Village of Glendale Heights — Village of Glendale Heights, Illinois (DuPage County)

Filing Fee: No filing fee Term: 4-year term — no term limits Seats: 3 Trustee seats on the 2027 ballot: Districts 1, 3, and 4 (elected in 2023, terms expiring 2027). Village President is NOT on the 2027 ballot (elected 2025, term through 2029). Election: April 6, 2027

Who Can Run

Be at least 18 years old
Be a U.S. citizen and a registered voter in Glendale Heights
Have lived within Glendale Heights for at least 1 year before the election
If running for Village Trustee: also have lived in the specific district you're running in for at least 1 year
Not owe any unpaid taxes or debts to the Village

📋 What You Need to File

First, find out which district you live in — visit glendaleheights.org or call (630) 260-6000. If you're running for Trustee, you must run in your own district.
Pick up a petition packet from the Village Clerk at 300 Civic Center Plaza — packets typically become available in late July 2026.
Village President candidates: collect at least 102 signatures from registered Glendale Heights voters. Village Trustee candidates: confirm the exact signature count with the Village Clerk — it's based on your specific district. Important: each voter may only sign one candidate's petition per office.
File a Statement of Economic Interests with the DuPage County Clerk (421 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton | 630-407-5500) before or by the filing deadline. Bring the receipt when you submit your nomination papers.
Submit your completed nomination papers — petition sheets, Statement of Candidacy (sworn and notarized), and SEI receipt — to the Village Clerk by approximately October 26, 2026 (exact date TBD).
Register a political committee with the Illinois State Board of Elections if you raise or spend more than $5,000.
