What You Need to File
First, find out which ward you live in — visit elmhurst.org or call (630) 530-3010. If running for Alderman, you must run in your own ward.
Contact the City Clerk to pick up your petition packet and get the exact signature count for your race — requirements differ for Mayor (citywide) and Alderman (ward-specific).

File a Statement of Economic Interests with the DuPage County Clerk (421 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton | 630-407-5500) before or by the filing deadline. Bring the receipt when you submit your nomination papers.
Submit your completed nomination papers — petition sheets, Statement of Candidacy (sworn and notarized), and SEI receipt — to the City Clerk by approximately November 17, 2026 (exact date TBD).
